How do I know if I have a bed bug bite?
Bed bug bites can be little red bumps. The bite can have red dot or scab in the middle and it may be inflamed or irritated. A small white welt may appear at each bite. Bed bug bites can never be 100% defined as a bedbug bite. It can vary extensively from person to person and some people’s skin will not show bites at all.
Will bed bug bites make me sick?
Health Reports say there is no evidence that shows bedbugs transmit disease. Bed bug bites, however, can cause allergic reactions in some people similar to mosquito bites. Frequent scratching of the bite marks or picking the scabs can cause infections.
Why don’t chemicals work to kill bed bugs?
Bed bugs are likely on the rise because they’re are becoming resistant to the pesticides used to kill them. Changes in pest control around the country have resulted in a situation where some of the previous pesticides that had been effective have been removed from the market. Pesticide application alone will not kill bed bugs at all stages. Compounding this problem is the stark reality that if the job is not done properly the first time, then the bedbugs will return and continue to spread. The problem will then become more serious and expensive when you consider that female bed bugs can lay about 300 eggs in their lifetime once they’re inseminated.
Will I need to get rid of all my belongings to get rid of bed bugs?
Before Heat-N-Sleep arrives, heats your residence we provide you with a checklist of items to be removed beforehand and we do an inspection before the heating begins. Pets and aerosol cans, for example, should be removed from the residence before a treatment. Your electronics, the contents of your refrigerator and your furniture may all safely remain in the house. The preparation instructions will provide you with a list of items that can and cannot remain in the treatment area. Our goal is to eliminate the bed bug and its eggs. The goal is more likely to be reached if preparation instructions are followed as specified.
How long will the process take to kill the bed bugs?
